Call Recording and Barge-in Features.

Call Recording is the latest addition to the already powerful feature set of the Quadro portfolio. This feature was announced for the Quadro32x earlier this year, and now it is available for the various versions of the Quadro16x and Quadro4x. This allows a user to record selected calls both automatically and by special request from the Web GUI or directly from the phone. The recordings could be stored either on the IP PBX (and be reviewed on the Quadro) or be uploaded to an external file storage for further processing. Call Recording is a purchasable feature priced per recording port and sold in groups of ports.

The QuadroFXS 16 port gateway is a modular approach to adding additional FXS lines (analog phones) to a corporate phone network that uses Epygi’s Quadro IP PBXs.

By integrating this application with the IP PBX, users of the system have greater control over the recorded calls and keep a similar interface from the users to review the recordings. External servers can be costly and require additional maintenance and service support. Additionally, there is no need for the local network to be changed enabling a broadcast port to record calls.

Barge-in support on the QuadroM32x has also been added. This includes Silent Monitoring, Agent Whisper, and Supervisor Barge-in enhanced features for authorized users on the IP PBX. These features do not require the ACD Activation key to be installed and can be used with regular user extensions on the QuadroM32x. This feature license will add additional advantages to a true VoIP solution by increasing the abilities of a call center manager or administrative assistant.

QuadroFXS 16 Gateway Launch

The QuadroFXS 16 port gateway is a modular approach to adding additional FXS lines (analog phones) to a corporate phone network that uses Epygi’s Quadro IP PBXs. Multiple QuadroFXS 16 Gateways can be added to a Quadro IP PBX for additional analog phone support. Each device allows the use of 16 additional analog phones by converting the IP extensions of the IP PBX into analog ports without the complexity of using other FXS gateways resulting in a multi-vendor solution. An Epygi solution from end-to-end increases the overall reliability of a hybrid VoIP deployment and facilitates Plug-and-Play functionality.

This solution simply connects to the existing Ethernet network and communicates directly with the LAN interface of a Quadro IP PBX. Therefore, minimal configuration is needed to continue to support the current analog phones installed. The Quadro IP PBX will automatically use the new FXS ports and display the new extensions in Quadro IP PBX management GUI. The new analog lines can then be managed from the IP PBX interface without a need to now support multiple Quadro devices.

Note: The QuadroFXS 16 Plug-and-Play feature will be available early 2010.
