Epygi Launches IP PBX that Emulates Key Sytem, Adds IP Phone Features
Quadro 6L Gives Users More Communication Resources on Traditional PSTN

Epygi Technologies has announced general availability for the latest in its line of small and medium business telephony appliances. Epygi designed the Quadro 6L for environments that require multiple ringing phones and shared line appearance visibility.

“The Quadro 6L opens a new market segment for Epygi,” said company president Mario Cuello. “There will always be work environments where all employees are responsible for answering phones. Retail is a prime example. Warehouses, service shops, small dispatch centers or help desks come to mind.”

Quadro 6L “The Quadro 6L works with the appropriate selection of Aastra™ IP phones to display which lines are busy or on hold. Since the phones and switch are digital, there are nearly limitless possibilities for economical enhancements. Features like voice mail, auto attendant, on-hold music or messaging, caller ID with distinctive ringing, call pickup, paging and intercom are built in,” Cuello said.

The Quadro 6L provides for as many as ten local extensions via LAN connection. Currently, users choose from Aastra 57i, 9133, and 480i model IP telephone sets. Each has buttons that can be programmed for phone lines and additional features. A true hybrid, the Quadro 6L includes six separate FXO ports for up to six PSTN lines, plus a WAN port for optional Internet calls (for immediate use or future expansion).

Sophisticated auto-recognition and auto-configuration capabilities between the Quadro 6L and Aastra phones simplify installation and operation. The administrator registers specific assignments through a straightforward graphical user interface.
