Hi all,
I'm trying t setup a auto attendant scenario, were when a customer calls and the attendant ask to press one for english or 2 for spanish, the AA then ask to press 1 for operator, 2 for administrator, 3 for reservations. I keep trying to set it up, but I keep getting "invalid extention" message Then I want to setup the AA to tell the customer after the company is closed at 5 pm, that they can call 3 for the the company external office at a another location or press 9 for road services. I'm using a Quadro M8L and also is there a guide that goes deeper in the auto attendant scenario setup? Thank you in advance Last edited by savadmin : 06-05-2012 at 05:11 PM. Hi Majid,
This is easy to do using the "Customized Scenario" option in the Attendant Scenario. The Main menu should consists of the following components: A welcome (greeting) message (optional); The recurring message asking to press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish; Input 1 to go to the submenu "English"; Input 2 to go to the submenu "Spanish". Submenu "English" should consists of the following components: The welcome message can be skipped here too; The recurring message in English asking to press 1 for operator, 2 for administrator, 3 for reservations; Input 1 to call the extension for operator; Input 2 to call the extension for admin"; Input 3 to call the extension for reservations. Submenu "Spanish" should be identical: The welcome message can be skipped here too; The recurring message in Spanish asking to press 1 for operator, 2 for administrator, 3 for reservations; Input 1 to call the extension for operator; Input 2 to call the extension for admin"; Input 3 to call the extension for reservations. The first part of scenario is completed. Please try and give feedback to continue with second part regarding the after working hours Thanks Ashot |

Hi Ashot,
We managed to get it working. Thanks for your assistance. We managed to get the after office hours working too. There is one more thing we need to add and that is the ability for a caller to dial an extension during the menu. I mean while the caller is listening to the options he can also dial an extension. How can this be implemented? |

Hi Majid,
Use "Any input other than in the list above" with action "Call to the number dialed" Thanks Ashot |

Hi Majid,
Using "Any input other than in the list above" with action "Call to the number dialed" you can dial extensions during listening the voice messages. But take into account: in current 5.3.3 FW there is SW bug that doesn't allow dialing during welcome message playing. The call just closed in this case. No such problem when dialing during Recurring message playing. Thus, use the Recurring message only for this scenario, meanwhile this bug will be fixed in the next FW. Thanks Ashot |
