Guys,
again on my Quadro16xi installation, I've more extensions than I have DDI numbers from my Telco. I was wondering is it possible to change the extension ID on an outbound call to match a certain DDI. For example; Extension 39 has not got a DDI. Extension 19 has. In the call routing is it possible on an outbound call from extension 39 to change it's caller ID to 19 so that it matches the DDI number xxxxxxxx19? This way I could group my extensions behind DDIs. Does this make sense? Any help is as always much appreciated. Slán, Paul :-) |

Paul, for this you need to create some additional rules for outbound ISDN calls for the extensions that hasn't DDI and use "UES" on that rules. To show outbound calls by ext.19's DDi you need to call from Ext.39 using the rule on which is UES with ext.19 is enabled.

Aramk,
thanks again. Can you explain what UES stands for please? I have a call routing rule set up as follows for extension 39 but it doesn't seem to work; Pattern: 9 i.e. an outside line. Filter on Caller / Call Type / Modify Caller ID is ticked, Call type: ISDN, Keep Original Caller ID not ticked, Port ID: any port, Inbound Caller Pattern:39, Inbound Number of Discarded Symbols:2, Inbound Prefix:19, Inbound Call Type: Any, Inbound Port ID:Any Port Should this work? UES - Use Extension Settings. It is on second page of routing wizard, but I forgot that this settings exist only for SIP calls, so you'll not be able to use it with ISDN
![]() Your routing rule is correct and must work without problems. Just make sure that the "Outgoing MSN" option is disabled on your ISDN trunks - these 2 option contradicts each other. Also make sure that your calls from ext.39 are passing through new created rule. |

All,
I got it working, now I can hide lots of extensions behind the one DDI :-) Pattern: 9 i.e. an outside line. Filter on Caller / Call Type / Modify Caller ID is ticked, Call type: ISDN, Keep Original Caller ID not ticked, Port ID: any port, Inbound Caller Pattern:39, Inbound Number of Discarded Symbols:2, Inbound Prefix:19, Inbound Call Type: ISDN, Inbound Port ID:Any Port |
