Default epygi good on one router , but not another router

Howdy

I have an epygi fxo gateway on a ADSL modem. All ports are forwarded and everything works fine. [including internet browsing and time updateing via internet and dns registrations]
If I plug in a new Router with another new ADSL modem [on the router WAN port] it doesnt make sip trunk calls. [seems like i have a 401 Unauthorized error somewhere]. New ADSL modem is in bridge mode. The Router does the authentication to the telstra adsl account. All ports are forwarded in the Router to the epygi. The epygi is using a fixed ip address. It is also in the DMZ zone just in case.
Everything else works on the adsl connection [including internet browsing and time updateing via internet and dns registrations]. No configuration changes were done in the epygi , only changed settings in the new router and new modem.[programmed then plugged in to epygi , and then reset/power cycled everything , severl times].

The epygi ip address is 192.168.0.3.

The epygi log in system [or somewhereelse when using a diagnostic test]said it was using full cone nat .

The epygi is using stun server stun.epygi.com.

I tried some RIP settings in the router [didnt work]

This was like a 20 min job , now 3 hours and counting. Any ideas?

Cheers
Cameron

Just a thought but have you removed the account and tried to run the voip wizard again ? because it looks like the account is being rejected when it tries to authenticate. Is there someone or something else registered using that account ? I would also check to see if your IP address is on the black list or something like that.. who knows.. have you tried to ping sip.gotalk.com ?

Regards

The main problem I see in the logs above is the following.
The typical procedure for registration consists of the following steps: Quadro sends REGISTER message, receives "Unauthorized", then sends a REGISTER with autorization, etc etc. But in this case the second REGISTER from Quadro does not contain authorization parameters, because it is just a retransmission of the first REGISTER message.

That happened because Quadro did not recognise the "Unauthorized" message from server as an answer to its REGISTER message.
Most probably it is because the Call-ID sent by server doesn't match the Call-ID sent by Quadro (c572dd1c-c3dd-418f-97f0-bfee3f48f9f8@192.168.0.3 instead of f6f6af7a-ee46-444c-82e7-ad49610bbd2b@quadroFXO.HSI.NET.AU). Call-ID is a randomly generated string, and the hostname/IP contained in that, should not be resolved in any way.

Something is wrong there (either in the ITSP or, much more possibly, in the router). Call-ID of reply message should be exactly the same as the Call-ID of the initial request.

Are you sure your new router is not SIP-aware, and it is not doing some tweaking in the SIP messages? You have to make sure your router doesn't change anything in the SIP message.. Switch off any super-intellectual options on that device, if any. These options are typically of more burden, than help..
