Strange signal on the ext.11 Quadro 16x

After picking up a receiver on the extension 11 the signal is very short 0,5s. I have been looking up the configuration and comparing it with other lines but I didnt find any differencies.

So do you mean that you just listen half-a-second of normal dialtone, and then silence?

The line 1 (attached to ext 11) is absolutely the same as other lines, except one point - it has lifeline connection to the FXO port 1. But this lifeline connection activates only if the unit is not booted up (or the power is OFF), so this should not be a problem..

You can try to connect another phone to see if the situation is the same. Also try to dial *74 to see if it tells you something. It might be that the lifeline is active and ytou actually connected to your PSTN line...

I removed the lifeline setting and the tone is normal. Before I did that I changed the receiver to other model, but that didn't work.

Which lifeline setting do you mean, Kris? I don't think lifeline on Quadro is configurable, so where did you find such setting??..

I removed the emergency number from the System configuration wizard.

All that is strange... Emergency number has nothing to do with dialtone on the ext 11...

It looks you chnaged something else (which fixed the problem), but didn't notice that..
