Question Multiple remote extensions at a single location

Hello,

I am getting ready to deploy multiple remote extensions at a single location off of an M32X that is in place and functioning quite well. The problem is that I have already deployed 2 remote extensions at a single location and had fairly rotten luck with both of the phones functioning properly at the same time. Since then one of the phones has been removed and it no longer presents a problem. Now I am ready to tackle the beast again but on a much larger level and wish to know the following:

1. Is there an IP Phone that works better than others as a remote on the M32X?
2. Is there a specific router that works better with remote phones?
3. Are there specific settings that should be made either on the router the M32X or in the phone that will help with proper functionality?
4. Is there a maximum number of remote phones that should be adhered to when placing multiple remotes at a single location?

The main problem I seemed to have hasd is Data but no Audio. Any help would be ggreatly appreciated. If anybody is local or can call me with the info or email would be great.

Sincerely,

Clay Embick

Turn on Session timer and rtp proxy ...

Handset wise - doesnt matter if you set up a VPN for the remote to the system.

I have sold that style of solution to a company that has 2 x m32x 's with 2x end points and lots of handsets in those end points, works well.

VPN between remote site and head office = ease of use and handset will connect to the m32x without having to know what port needs to be changed etc...

Draytek / Billion / insert named vpn brand of router here / all of good quality routers that have VPN connectivity - not just pass through will work to what you want.

Here in Oz, I can set up a secure point to point VPN for around the $350 and end includes encryption, with auto dialup.

You then can use any decent IP Telephone to communicate with the M32x.

Just my 2 cents...
