differentiate between incoming calls

Environment: Epygi 4xi, ISDNand Snom 300 & 360 handsets
Users have direct numbers (DID using ISDN) andMain numbersuse Multi Extemsion Ring to groups of users.

Therequest is to allow users to differentiate between incoming direct calls and Main (group) calls. This could be via ringtone, display or led.

On your Many Extension Ringing extension have a play around with the Distinctive ringing option under "Caller ID Based Services".

With this you can enable a distinctive ring as the name implies, but you can also use the Nickname option to have a text string come through to the phone as part of the Caller ID. This text would only come through on calls to the main number so your staff could tell the difference between these calls and calls to their DDI.
