Default How to "transfer" calls between IP and analog lines?

I am about to configure my first IP phone for my Quadro2x (Cisco 7945G).

I currently only have a cordless DECT phone connected to Line 1, and the extension of Line 1 is directly registered with my VoIP provider (BroadVoice).

I want to use the IP phone as my main phone that rings when people call my BroadVoice number. So I'll be moving the BroadVoice SIP registration from Line 1 to IP Line 1.

I would like to be able to "transfer" an active call in a similar fashion as multiple analog phones on one line do: by picking up the cordless I would join the active call, then hang up on the IP Phone. And vice versa. Is that possible?

First of all, the Cisco 7945G phone is not recommended by Epygi, it is not tested in our lab and not included in Epygi Supported/Tested phones list, so we don't guerantee its correct functionality with Quadro, as well as some Quadro features may be unavailable for this phone. You need to manually configure that phone to work with Quadro. The only Cisco phone we recommend currently is Cisco 7960, for which we support Autoprovisioning.

You can transfer your call from one phone to other only by using special transfer code. There is 2 types of transfer on Quadro - Unconditional (or Blind) Transfer and Transfer With Consultation. You can find Quadro Feature Codes for transfer and for other services on the Online Help, Manuals and in the documents describing how to use IP-Phones with Quadro. We do not support "transfer" as in multiple analog phones, described in your post.

Yeah..I could get a really good deal on the 7945, leftover from a company here in town. Since these phones are pretty similar, I figured I'd give it a shot with the 7960 profile. If that doesn't work, I'll dink around with manual configuration. I can alsways set up a TFTP server on my network to feed it config info. BTW..is it not possible to add "custom" profiles to the Quadro's built-in TFTP server?

Yes, try it, maybe it will work with 7960 template.
