Epygi Launches Their New Quadro FXS 26 Gateway Globally

Epygi Technologies is proud to announce the release of its Quadro FXS 26 gateway, the latest addition to the Epygi gateway portfolio. The Quadro FXS 26 port gateway is a modular approach to adding additional FXS lines (analog devices) to a corporate phone network that uses Epygi's IP PBXs.

QuadroFXS26 This product expands on the Quadro FXS 16 port gateway and can support not 16, but 26 analog devices which could include phones, fax machines, paging systems and security systems. The FXS gateways can be stacked on top of one another to increase the number of analog phone ports to exceed 26. In addition, in order to simplify the setup, the gateways plug-and-play with Epygi IP PBXs. By eliminating the need of a multi-vendor solution, using all Epygi products will reduce the complexity of the initial setup and support after installation. The only requirement for the IP PBX is available IP phone extensions to register the FXS on the primary telephone system.

All Epygi products are based on open standards technology, so the Quadro FXS 26 Gateway can be used with other IP PBXs on the market that support the open SIP standard. There are many environments that require additional FXS ports and, in most cases, that network will be a hybrid design with both IP and FXS telephones deployed. Some examples of these networks include motels/hotels, historic buildings with no Ethernet cabling or large manufacturing plants.

Feature Spotlight: Find Me Follow Me

FindMeFollowMeThe Find Me Follow Me feature was first introduced in the 5.1 software and allows the system to look for a called person in multiple destinations, including a mobile or home phone. This ensures that an actual person always answers their phone calls, not an answering machine or an automated recording. The Find Me Follow Me feature permits employees to have calls track them down wherever they are - at their desk, on their cell phone, or at home if they choose. The caller hears a hold message as the Find Me Follow Me feature set attempts to contact the called party. The user can set it up so that multiple destinations are called immediately or that the person's most probable destination is tried first, and then the other locations are called after. An optional feature is password protecting external calls. If the party isn't reached, the call will then automatically be directed to your desk phone so people can leave voicemails at your office. This Quadro feature makes employees more efficient, because they are able to handle office tasks from any location.

Epygi Technologies Ensures Peace of Mind and Efficiency at Insurance Connection USA

Insurance ConnectionLocated in Denton, Texas, Insurance Connection USA is a multi-line insurance agency offering home, auto, life and disability insurance to more than 5,000 clients in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. In the summer of 2010, Insurance Connection USA wanted to upgrade from their Verizon® digital phone lines to a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone system. With the Verizon® phone lines, the company only had basic phone capabilities. It was for this reason that Insurance Connection USA knew it was time for a change in their communication system. After investigating several VoIP systems on the market, Insurance Connection USA decided that the Epygi system was the best fit for their company due to its cost-effectiveness and advanced telephony features offered. In August 2010, the installation of the Epygi Quadro2x was completed in just one day.

Epygi Serves Enhanced Functionality

Due to the abundance of communication features built in to the Epygi system, the employees of Insurance Connection USA are much more efficient in their day-to-day work. Call routes provided by the Quadro enable dedicated lines to be established for agency departments such as sales and service, or for specific people within the organization. Additionally, the multi-level auto attendant routes incoming customer calls to the right department or employee. "The most important feature, which Epygi was able to provide, was the integration of our remote workers and offices to our main office," says Bob Garrison, President of Insurance Connection USA. If a new remote employee is added, all the company needs to do is provide that employee with an IP handset which in turn configures with the Epygi system located at the headquarters.

A System for the Future

Garrison sees the Epygi phone system as an investment not only for meeting his needs today, but into the future as well. Although the agency has only begun to experience all that the Epygi system can do for the company, the employees are looking forward to newly released features. "So far, we're very pleased with what the Epygi system is doing to enhance our business. Everything has been extremely seamless," concluded Garrison.
