Quadro IP PBX

Epygi's Quadro IP PBX devices empower your organization with the promised benefits of converged voice and data. Quadro can slash or even eliminate your long distance telephone expenses. It gives a small business large corporation capabilities. It can make a small business look bigger.

What happens in the box?

Epygi Quadro IP PBX

  • Firewall protected Internet access
  • Voice prioritization over computer data traffic
  • VPN (Virtual Private Network) encryption ensures secure data and voice transmission
  • Integrated PBX includes call handling functions, voice mail and conferencing
  • Internet connection via Ethernet, ADSL or ISDN
  • Power interruption "lifeline" provides emergency public telephone network access (except ISDN)
  • Uses standard off-the-shelf telephones and works with standard network hubs and switches
  • Supports most popular Internet phones including instruments from Polycom, Cisco, snom, Aastra, IP Dialog, Swissvoice & others

Simply put, Quadro is where two communications infrastructures meet: the traditional telephone network and the Internet. Quadro's central processing unit is home to its Linux-based operating system, appropriately christened the "Call Manager."

The Call Manager drives the process from the time you dial until you hang up. You put people on hold, transfer calls, pick up voice mail: it's Call Manager.

The Quadro combines many of the best features of both PBX and network server. Easily program PBX features like voice mail, three-way conferencing, call waiting, and call statistics. Amazingly, Quadro also delivers the secure network amenities of firewall and virtual private network (VPN) with 128-bit data encryption.

Using the Quadro

Quadro connects directly to your broadband Internet service (Ethernet, DSL, cable, you name it) and immediately automatically configures itself. Plug in an ordinary analog phone or fully featured VoIP phone. Enter your Internet Service provider’s account details and in minutes, you're making voice over IP calls free of charge.

Sounds great. Quadro's digital signal processor (DSP) typically reproduces voice better than your traditional long distance connection.

Call any IP phone or computer anywhere in the world, toll-free. Use a VoIP gateway service and talk to anyone on the public phone network (even mobile phones) long distance for just pennies per minute.

Put a Quadro in one of your remote offices. Not only will all calls between the two be free, but when you dial from the main office through the remote box, all those calls become local.
Outside the office? Quadro's Caller ID recognizes your mobile phone number and immediately authenticates your access to the Quadro. Just dial your associate's extension and Quadro automatically finds the most efficient, least cost route.

Quadro even has programmable call forwarding and call routing. No matter where you go, a single phone number follows you. You're always available when you want to be.

But Internet connections go down. Electric power fails.

Not to worry. Quadros have a "lifeline" safety feature. The power goes out. The place goes dark. The phone (or phones, depending on model) of your choice are still connected to the public phone network. You still have access to emergency services and the outside world. The built-in landlines also mean you can use telephone-based security alarm systems to protect your property.
