Epygi's Paging – Empowered with NEW Options

Paging is a great feature which allows someone to ring a group of phone extensions and make an announcement via the phone speaker.

With the upcoming QX release a new Store and Forward Call option will be offered with some enhancements:

  • Multiple users can initiate a page simultaneously. The recording will be queued and then announced in the order it was created.
  • The record and storing option will eliminate the occurrence of an acoustic feedback.

One of the advantages of Epygi's QX IP PBXs is that they have an Audio Port capability which will allow users to connect external speakers. A group page can include the external speakers to broadcast to a large group of people.

Epygi's Products Would Soon Have OPUS support


Epygi is excited to announce that its QX and UC line of products have been enhanced with support for the OPUS codec, starting in our upcoming software release.

OPUS is a royalty-free, highly versatile audio codec. It is standardized by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and is supported by most of the SIP phone vendors.

Epygi's implementation supports narrowband and wideband sampling rates. Narrowband provides telecom voice quality at low bit rates and it is an alternative to G729. Wideband provides excellent voice quality and is a good alternative to HD codecs like G.722, SILK, etc.

Set a Dynamic Caller ID for Your VoIP Calls

With the upcoming software release Epygi will be introducing a new enhancement to its already powerful Call Routing Settings. For outbound calls users will be able to assign a random outgoing caller ID. The caller ID will be randomly selected from a predefined list of DIDs.

Epygi's call routing has always offered the option of customizing caller IDs while placing calls, but the new option will make the service more attractive and can be a game changer for many legitimate businesses trying to reach potential clients.

One of the benefits of setting pre-defined caller IDs can be that it will display a local caller ID, thus increasing the response rate. The client does not need to know that the agent they are talking to is in another city or state. This way the agents can make professional calls and increase their sales opportunities.
